Named for its location in a horseshoe-shaped bend in the Deep River, this 18th-century plantation home showcases a gabled roof, double-shouldered Flemish bond chimneys and a shed porch. The home displays bullet holes resulting from a 1781 skirmish between Tories and Whigs. It hosts a Revolutionary War Battle Reenactment the first weekend in August. It is located ten miles north of Carthage.
